ME-India has set itself the following targets:
- Increase knowledge
The cluster aims to gain knowledge of the Indian entertainment- and media sector, as well as knowledge of the Dutch entertainment- and media sector in order to create opportunities and transcend barriers in order to bring the two countries together.
- Networks
The Dutch corporate cluster has already built a solid base network in India and now wants to expand that network in order to act as a hub in the creative audiovisual field between the Netherlands and India.
- ME-India program promotion
ME-India wants to create awareness in the Indian media and entertainment sector about the Dutch audiovisual creative industry and all of the possibilities she holds. Through the promotion of the Netherlands and all of the opportunities the country has to offer, by the appropriate parties in India, we hope to achieve just that.
ME-India has devised a series of activities aimed to stimulate and expand the creative audiovisual industry in the Netherlands and India by the development of new creative-audiovisual and the (more efficient) use of existing creative-audiovisual initiatives and the creation of a structural link on a creative-audiovisual level between India and the Netherlands.
With this, the objective of ME-India is to attract attention to the Dutch creative audiovisual industry in India and vice versa to create a collaboration between participants in both countries. Through this, the Netherlands should create a structural, strong and recognised position in the field of creative audiovisual industry in India.
The activities of ME-India can be divided into three pillars:
Knowledge
We will gain knowledge about the creative audiovisual industry by organising:
- Market research India
Gather qualitative and quantitative information on strengths and opportunities of the Indian Media and Entertainment sector as well as general quantitative information about doing business in India and with Indian companies in the field of trade culture, regulation and others
- Market research Netherlands
Gather information on the Dutch Media and Entertainment market,, the chance for companies abroad and the Dutch business culture and barriers for Indian companies to penetrate the Dutch market
Network
By creating platforms and opportunities to have Indian and Dutch companies interact, we will strenghten our Network. For instance by organising seminars and trade missions in the Netherlands as well as in India and by acting as liaisons in both countries to facilitate and match companies.
Awareness...
- ...in the Netherlands
In the Netherlands this means that companies will be informed about the program and activitities and will be given the opportunity to join in on activities when they are willing to start up businesses with Indian counterparts.
- ...in India
In India the Dutch Media and Entertainment industry will be promoted to create awarness in the relevant sectors amongst the relevant players about the strengths and the possibilities of the Netherlands and their Media & Entertainment sector.
